In my years on this planet I have been lucky enough to visit a fair few countries in the world. The list thus far: Ireland (it counts!), England, Scotland, Poland, Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Sicily, America, and Australia. The travels have been fun indeed. In fact many good times have been had, probably mostly in Australia, that country rules! In fact while I was there I got to scuba dive with some cool shit like sharks and turtles and all. And its true Aussies are that laid back. Al though what I most certainly do NOT recommend is taking a "first class" train from Brisbane to Sydney. A 14 hour train journey and believe me in Oz there is FUCK ALL between the cities! Stick with planes you'll be fine. Although don't have a beard while going through the security, I got selected every time (and I took 5 internal flights) for "additional security screening". By the 3rd time I was scared it was going to be touch the toes time, but thankfully not.
Another little piece of advise if ever in a eastern European city, perhaps Prague, don't listen to the little blonde girl that says she's been to a great night club there thats 10 euro in and free drink all night. This place didn't just have bouncers, It had riot police inside. They were dragging men women the lot outside. Although it was a cheap night.
Wanna go drinking....go to Glasgow or Belgium. Definitely brussels is brilliant for the beer lovers, I got mighty pissed on their selections of high strength tasty beers. While for a metaller, Glasgow is the shit. I've been twice and both times spent a hideous amount of cash in the solid rock bar. Big Gerard and Dave will recall when we went over to see Morbid Angel...alas I feel asleep during their set, which I think is a pretty impressive feat. Morbid Angel wouldn't be the tunes one would often put on to go for a wee nap.
Of course I could go on retelling tales of the different cities I've visited but its not the same as going and seeing them yourself. So go and do it....go on!
