Ok so I had just finished the calculations needed for the first paper with Mauro and he was showing me the idea of how we should break the paper down and present it. Also it was a dividing of who would write what sections first and so on. At the end of the chat the notion of a title came up and Mauro told me a we need a 'sexy' title.
I laughed and said 'hm it'll be hard to think of a good title...', at which point Mauro quickly interjected and said 'NO! We need a sexy title!' And this all came from a time when he was working with the great Anton Zeilinger and it was him who said that the hardest part of writing a paper isn't doing the work its getting a 'sexy' title to sell it with. With this in mind when the writing process hit a minor wall I started thinking of sexy titles....and so Kylie was born (in fact it was modified to 'Kylie Minogue: I just can't get you out of my MEMS', a stroke of genius Mauro!). It seems like a nice way to name papers before publication, wouldn't you agree?
